I don&#039;t think Scripps college students begrudge the administration the right to cover their asses in cases where the consequences of not doing so could be devastating.  Nobody wants to get blown up.  But then again, nobody wants to live in a dystopia-style airport for four years either.  

It is disturbing how little the concerns and suggestions of students were heeded.

		<description>I am with you on this. They have professional security guards checking bags at the dining hall, so why not at the store and the Motley as well? It would certainly be a more effective deterrent. I doubt a serious attacker would be intimidated by an unarmed Scripps student. 


By the way, they were able to trace the phone call to a 7-11, and got the suspect&#039;s description from the security camera footage. They did not psychically divine it from the man&#039;s voice (though that would make an interesting talent).</description>
